Where to print you Digital Photography

Welcome back to Beez Photography blog!

Last session was about weather or not digital photography was for you or not.

Now lets talk a little about your camera and were to get great prints at a low price.
Digital photography is great especially now that they are so many places that you can order your prints at a very low price. Now that you’ve seen how great your photos are now your wondering how to print them or even where to go. You can print them yourself? Well this is a good option if you own a printer. This is an expensive method. Ink now a days is pretty pricey. Printing photos at home varies as to what type of print you want, an ordinary print or a professional looking print. Your personal printer is great for a few basic prints like 4 X 6, 5 X7 and a few 8 X 10’s, but print to many and you can say good bye to all your ink. So what else is there? You can always get a mini portable printer which cost about $100 and the ink and paper together run you about $45. These however are only to print 4 X 6’s and 5 X 7’s and each ink will print you about 100 to 150 prints depending on the size of paper you choose to print your digital photography.
Rather not spend money on another printer well you can always sign up to your local Walgreens, CVS, Wal-Mart est.… and order your prints through them at pennies per print. Usually around 9cents but if you choose to have them delivered they will drop the price by 5 cents per print. You do have to pay for shipping but what’s a $1 and change more when you save about as much or more. They also have great deals on package deals and on larger size prints.
Also Beez Photography offers many of the same products and more. Simply e-mail me for a price list.
Don’t forget to register with the one you choose they also provide you with options to edit your photo into black and white, sepia or crop. Make your photo even better by adding a digital frame. If you want to go pick them up instead of having them delivered you can pay for them online and pick them up or you can upload them to a CD and take It to the store of your choice and use their kiosk. Endless possibilities at your finger tips.
Have fun with your photography!

Digital Photography

Why digital photography is better than traditional film.
Digital cameras are everywhere and almost every one has one or wants one!
Buying a digital camera is tricky especially for the beginner photographer. I have heard countless of time in a store where someone want to purchase a digital camera. Immediately the attendant goes to the most expensive there is. Sure they ask the regular questions like “What will the main purpose of use be?” “Is is a gift?” and so on. But they didn’t even listen to the answer. I had had enough and finally step up and spoke to the customer myself, turns out she simply want to take candid pictures of her children and grand kids. What does this mean simple she didn’t need the latest $800 camera from Cannon. I explained to her what she needed to take great family candid pictures and she was happy and excited that she didn’t get sucked into purchasing some camera she didn’t need. Well lets say I got plenty of unpleasant looks from this store there after.

Digital cameras are great! Traditional film (Still good) but you don’t get to see the image you have just taken till after you pay for them. I mean what if half the photos you just took are blurred? Well sorry you just paid for ruined prints! Digital allows you to view your photos in advanced. I enjoy taking many photos a day weather its portraits or family pets, friends or scenery, I still enjoy taking that preview before I upload them to my computer.
Once your Digital prints have been uploaded it is easy to simply go through you photos delete the one you want and keep the ones you like. Another great reason Digital photography is great, once you have you photos it is simple to send to family and friends no matter where they live through your computer.

Now I know some of you are thinking that many of these digital cameras need batteries and lots of them. Most good cameras either take four double A batteries, which can be expensive since these cameras drain them pretty fast but an easy way to save a little money is to purchase rechargeable batteries and keep an extra set in the camera bag. This also is cheaper than film, why? Well think of all the money you will save on not having to develop your prints since all you now have to do is upload and view.

Digital cameras also come equipped with a software CD. this CD will usually have the installation and editing software. This editing software allows you to fix a photo and make it into a great looking piece of art.

Lets face it, no matter who you are or what type of camera you purchase if the photo is poorly focused, badly framed, or image is shaky it will not look good.
